I have an old iBook G3 I'd like to use to record some quick demos. It doesn't have USB 2.0. Can I still use the USB port on my Pod XT to record direct? Does anyone have experience using USB recording with the Pod on an older machine?
I've tried, briefly, with Audacity, but I get massive latency (I'd guess 500 ms!) and/or serious digital distortion on the track regardless of how my levels are set. Has anyone sucessfully used the XT with Audacity?
For what it's worth, I've had no issues with my Mbox on the old G3. Alas, it's currently being borrowed.
