I need all 8 mic inputs for drums but also need to use an instrument input simultaneously so the drummer can play along to guitar. Is this possible? Or will the instrument input bypass one of the mic inputs? thanks.

ahh that blows. maybe i could just use my pod x3 in conjuction with the saffire for monitoring purposes? my presonus monitor station is arriving soon so could i send the outputs of the pod and saffire to the monitor station and be able to hear them both?
