RAGE/AVENGER sign a Record deal with PURE STEEL RECORDS

Hell! Yeah!! Peavy and his band signed at Pure Steel Records for the rerelease of their early material under the band names AVENGER and RAGE!

The vinyl versions will be released as limited versions including tons of bonus material.

Both albums "Prayers of Steel" (as double album!) and the EP “Depraved to black" (as single LP) you will get in a high-end edition. The release date of the AVENGER album „Depraved To Black“ on limited vinyl edition is October 6th, 2017. The pre-order phase will start on September 22nd, 2017 in our webshop. The Album will release in a limited Edition of 300 black copies and 166 black/sliver Splatter copies, with 4 Bonustrack and insert.

Also the EP „Depraved To Black“, originally released shortly after „Prayers Of Steel“, in August ’85 through Wishbone Records, is going to be released again on LP through us. Beside the high speed smashers „Down To The bone“ and the title track, there were two live versions of the album classics „Prayers Of Steel“ and „Faster Than Hell“, recorded at Metropol Aachen in spring 1985. Combined on one side for the original EP, the B side of our re-release is going to present the complete „Faster Than Hell“ demo from 1983; containing a non album track with „Destination Day“. Finest, ancient rawness for real aficionados, featuring a very young Peavy Wagner on vocals. A must have for every German Speed Metal maniac of long gone, old days!

By calling the name AVENGER aficionados of teutonic 80s Speed Metal go wild for more than three decades now. Hailing from Herne, with „Prayers Of Steel“ the quartet released a genre classic through Wishbone Records in spring 1985, that can’t be compared to anything. Sold out for many years, now there will be a double LP reissue through Pure Steel, packed with the second demo and some rehearsal stuff as bonus and limited to 566 copies. Even after 31 years, anthems such as „Battlefield“, „Prayers Of Steel“, „Faster Than Hell“ and „Assorted By Satan“ didn‘t lose anything of their initial power. The fast and raw drumming by Jörg Michael as well as the striking high pitched vocals of a young and wild Peavy Wagner are outstanding attributes, which are missing on releases of nowadays newcomer bands. Unfortunately, the band name should not last long since the young group wanted to avoid legal disputes with a British band of the same name. A renaming to Rage one year later seemed to be the only way out. What followed was German Metal history, which began with this masterpiece.

The Album will release in a limited Edition of 350 black and 150 blue copies with 11 Bonustracks and Gatefold on double vinyl.

A name from Germany that is program, RAGE. Founded as AVENGER, the guys around "Peavy" Wagner already guaranteed in the 80s first quality heavy / speed metal shells. After the AVENGER albums "Prayers of Steel" and "Depraved to Black" were already re-released via Pure Steel Records on vinyl, now the debut album "Reign of Fear" under the logo RAGE is going to be available on the black discs again. In addition to the remastered original album, there are also 7 live rehearsal and 4 demo tracks on the double vinyl, in order to bring the fan closer to the entire range of the work at that time.

The release date of the RAGE album „Execution Guaranteed“ on limited double vinyl edition is June 22nd, 2018. The pre-order phase will start on June 8th, 2018 in our webshop. The Album will release in a limited Edition of 350 black and 150 transparent red/black splatter copies with 9 Bonustracks and Gatefold on double vinyl.

After we already did the debut “Reign Of Fear” from ’86 now there’s also a vinyl reissue of the second album “Execution Guaranteed” by Power/Speed legends RAGE from Herne/Germany. Released as double pack with gatefold cover - including the remixed version (Tommy Hansen) on the first LP and the original 1987 mix (Andi Musolf) on the second disc - now there’s the possibility for everyone to pick his own favourite.

Starting with the hyper fast “Down By Law” Peavy and his horde take no prisoners and Speed Metal bangers will directly be reminded back to glory old times. With the groovy title track RAGE deliver a perfect anthem in a great mid-tempo, continued by also great songs: “Street Wolf” shows up a decent dark flair, “Deadly Error” starts with a beautiful acoustic intro and with “When You’re Dead” the quartet deliver a great up-tempo smasher to end up this record. During the whole album Peavy is screaming like a maniac and the rhythm section around Jörg Michael sometimes is “faster than hell”, like they sung back in AVENGER.

Now fans of the good old-fashioned Teutonic Speed Metal or people that want to nurse their Noise first pressing from now on have the only chance to buy after 31 years.

The release date of the of the album "Perfect Man“ by the German Heavy Metal Band RAGE on Double Vinyl is February 28th, 2020. The pre-order phase will start on February 14th, 2020 in our webshop. Still after so much decades, RAGE from Herne are a legend in the German Metal scene. The first two albums "Reign Of Fear" and "Execution Guaranteed" have already had a vinyl re-release through us. Now it’s time for the third output "Perfect Man" from 1988. With “Perfect Man” RAGE grew out of the juvenile and elemental early works and presented the whole mixture a bit more sophisticated and mellow. The first pure Power Metal influences can be heard in "Don’t Fear The Winter", "Time And Place" has thrilling, ballad-like moments to offer. At that time Peavy was still able to hold the high falsetto-like screams very well ("Supersonic Hydromatic"!), but at the time the trio was significantly more mature and well-versed due to the back then newcomers Manni Schmidt and Chris Efthimiadis. "Perfect Man" comes as a double vinyl with four previously unreleased bonus tracks and seven live versions (including an acoustic version). Of course, the two tracks "Symbols Of Our Fear" and "Neurotic", which were only released on CD at that time, are now also on "black gold". A must-have for all RAGE historians!

The release date of the of the album "Secrets In A Weird World" by the German Heavy Metal Band RAGE on Doublevinyl via PURE STEEL RECORDS is July 30th, 2021. The official Releasedate is subject to change. The Album will be released in a limited Edition of 300 black copies and insert on Vinyl.

After we already had reissued the first three RAGE albums “Reign Of Fear” (1986), “Execution Guaranteed” (1987) and “Perfect Man” (1988) as double vinyl, it’s now time for the ‘89 album “Secrets In A Weird World”, which was published via Noise Records back then. Here Peavy and his crew showed themselves to be much more mature and demanding and the album can be seen as a transition from the earlier Speed Metal phase towards Power Metal. With the catchy double bass tune "Invisible Horizons", the quartet from Herne had released a single from this album for the first time, where the non-album track "Law And Order" is also included on the re-release. There are also demo versions of seven album songs and the unreleased track "Mirror" on the second LP. This new edition is indispensable for RAGE collectors!

The rerelease will be published with the original cover artwork.
