Back in the day The Rams were famous for their gay CD-covers and pyros.
Now they´re pissing people of for real. Great! They should play on some pridefestivals (I think they would do it) and mindfuck the trannies, dykes and eurovision-fags! They are as narrowminded as anyone else!

They sometimes said, they weren not felling comfortable doing that video. But they thought they should support homosexuals what they are actually doing with that song...that doesn't mean they are gay, though i don't know.
That some americans don't get it makes total sense to me. Some even think Amerika is a pro-american song...

Yeah. I agree with you, people get all upset when they see an ass or a titty and think in the terms of hidden meanings, contents or political statements. I don´t care much for Rammstein so to me it´s just some guys without clothes.
However I like the fact when rock bands piss certain people off by doing a video or write lyrics that somehow is offensive to them. It´s not the socio-political statements I´m after, it´s more of the artistic freedom (shock-value to be crass). A perfect example is Faith No Mores "Be Aggressive". It´s about a guy who sucks dick and apparently enjoys cum-shots. Roddy wrote it but as Patton sang the words he got the flak, (a calculated move by the way). People said it was a statement because Roddy is gay but the song is FICTIONAL, it´s about a character just like the rest of the songs on that album.
If you change a couple of words and let a woman sing it some people would still be upset because to them it would be a degrading song about a cum-hoe. But it would still be a made up story.
I don´t have to be shielded and protected from bodyparts, certain words or beliefs. I might not care much for some of it like man-asses or OLD TITS (hey, look I sneaked that one in) on a 80-year old woman but give me some attractive women and I´ll look a minute or five if I feel like it because that´s my sexual preference. And if there is an underlying meaning why the womans in the movie, show, book it´s even better because that gives me something else to think about besides those nice hips and legs. I might enjoy the old tits and asses as a joke though or trying to find out if they mean something by showing it (thereby making me a bit of a hypocrite when I complain when other people do it). And yeah, I know, I´m a horrible person for laughing at other peoples bodyparts!
Adult dipers, homosexuals, food-sex and the word "cunt" existed long before MTV did. I would turn off my TV if someone made a video with infants getting slaughtered by the dozens (hey Jessica Simpson, a tip from me to make you more "underground"), but there will always be someone with a stiff cock or moist pussy when they see things like that, people who enjoy inflicting damage, physical or mental to others in an unequal relationship or situation. Sexual excitement is a reaction to something and headfucks like that prefer the kiddie-killings. Some call another person a fuckhead for enjoyng the sexual excitement they get when they touch a woman dressed in latex or a naughty fantasy about going to see the doctor or for simply being gay, straight or asexual.
Why did people go to GG Allins shows? I´t was to see him go ape-shit and piss on someone. People knew what to expect and went there to be shocked when they saw him actually do it.
Shock-value and meaning works good together though so I can see why Rams choose to strip but would the song loose its meaning if they had clothes on and replaced the men with women or did a conventional rock-show video for the song? In this case it´s not very subtile.

Amerika is most definitely not pro-american. Rather criticism of the influence the US is taking in the rest of the world.
