Yeah I said tape even though I've used mp3 -> CD for years but WHATEVER.

I made this one for some friends who took a long roadtrip a few years ago. I said "oh hey here's my noise demo and ALSO some really heavy music you might enjoy" and gave them my crap along with:

Heavy as Fook
1. Kyuss - Gardenia
2. Thee Plague of Gentlemen - Greek Fire
3. Ufomammut - Hopscotch
4. Acid Bath - Dr. Seuss is Dead
5. Thorr's Hammer - Norge
6. Neurosis - Locust Star
7. Yakuza - Perception Management
8. Electric Wizard - I, The Witchfinder
9. Reverend Bizarre - Caesar Forever
10. Orodruin - Epicurean Mass

I listened to that one a bit myself too, I must say that Gardenia and Epicurean Mass are some of the best Alpha/Omega songs around really.

Post yours. Judge others. ENJOY AND LOVE.

i think i could actually make this playlist happen without dl anything. i think that means something. i think that something is we're both awesome.

...and so, the broken bond between NorCal and SoCal was once again restored, forever, in slow doom-like headbang. :headbang:

I had this awesome mix tape in high school that I will forever remember, gay as it was. I called it "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"
It's true I made this tape in 1995

Side 1
Ozzy Osbourne "Mr Tinkertrain"
White Zombie "Electrichead Part 1"
Megadeth (covering Black Sabbath) "Paranoid"
Type O Negative "We Hate Everyone"
Metallica "Dyers Eve"
Pantera "Cowboys From Hell"
Morbid Angel "God of Emptiness"
Danzig "Mother"
Manowar "Power of thy Sword"

Side 2
Black Sabbath "Computer God"
Iron Maiden "Be Quick or Be Dead"
Megadeth "Tornado of Souls"
Death "Crystal Mountain"
Pantera "Fucking Hostile
Metallica "Creeping Death"
Celtic Frost "Circle of the Tyrants"
Judas Priest "Painkiller"
WASP "Wild Child" (shut up)
Slayer "Angel of Death"
and it finished on Metallica "Whiplash"

should dig out some of my high school mixtapes (which were actual bonafide cassette tapes) and see what's actually on them

hmm

I honestly don't remember most of my actual cassette mixes. Last one of those I had was probably in 1998, and about a year later I had a CD player in my truck. The dark ages were over, I could buy an album at the store AND THEN LISTEN TO IT RIGHT AWAY OMFG.

Actually I think I have a box full of them in the garage still, oddly enough. Couldn't really throw them away really, even though they just collect dust. I should dig for those....... maybe later........ in 2017 or so.

I do remember a friend giving me several Black Sabbath songs on a dubbed over Mickey Mouse cassette thing in 1993 maybe? I think it had Corrosion of Conformity on there as well. THAT was a good tape. Pretty sure I wore it out, it was the first time I heard The Wizard which is still the best Sabbath song, says I.

I listened to an actual cassette yesterday in my 1999 Volvo
It even has auto reverse and Dolby noise reduction

Last new tape I listened to was in the ol' Subaru, Sentenced's Amok, because I read the eBay auction wrong. Whoops.

Did the Subaru have noise reduction? 'Cause you cant be having any of that fucking noise messing up things.

Unrelated: I have, for some reason, massive MASSIVE gas today and I blast it out because I can always blame it on patients

Yes, but I only pressed it once and it killed all the hi-hat crispiness. Sorry Dolby, but I don't listen to music without hi-hat crispiness.

 @ patients. Those suckers. Those stinky, gassy suckers.

I had the worst cassette mix stuff back in 1996 or something. I just recorded stuff from a local metal radio show with totally random sound quality. For several years I actually believed that Bal Sagoth's Starfire... was an instrumental album...
