I found those Toxik albums pretty tough to get into... technical as Hell but sometimes at the expense of good songs... I much prefer Realm for that sort of stuff, especially Suiciety which is absolutely brilliant...

Anyone remember Trauma, Cliff Burton's first band? The album they released sans-Cliff was really good.

All the epic traits of your best Maiden song, with better musicianship across the board and much more energy. Unfortunately they only recorded two album's worth of material.

I saw Destructor last summer... if you thought they looked ridiculous back then they just look tragic now in all that dodgy studded leather and balding heads... decent thrash though

One of the many bands I never put attention to in its due time. Thanks to the Metal Mind remasters I was able to get into them, Atrophy, the second Heathen album, STOS, Xentrix, Znöwhite (thanks Gert) and many bands I was owing to myself.

Not a huge fan of Toxik, for technical metal I prefer Coroner, Hexenhaus, Anacrusis, Forte or Mekong Delta, but they're albums play well.

I like this thread (I think we had one similar some years ago). Anyway, I was roaming through my collection and decided to scan some covers of albums that are either obscure or maybe forgotten like you said. Don't know if they kick ass but they still are in my collection so.... I'm not going to post all of them now, I would like more people to post images or names of albums of this type from the 80's, I will contribute little by little.

Dunno, to me Meliah Rage are well known (but underrated) and one of my favorite bands. I'm looking for their new album "Masquerade" but so far it's only available in a obscure online site (very good album btw, I already downloaded).
