@ MetalDude: C'mon Tokyo Blade is well known but maybe underrated. The albums with Alan Marsh are great. The band has reformed partially but with another singer so I'm not looking forward for anything new from them.

@ Carnut: Good call on Liege Lord although I think te're also known, the other bands left me baffled.

Let's see what do you people think about this one. I just finally got a copy some weeks ago is OOP and the second of the band (now extinct):

Some German female-fronted thrash (the two full-length albums which followed with a different vocalist went into a very different direction):

One of the few all-female thrash metal bands (the album cover looks silly, the lyrics are really clichéd, but I like the music):

Abattoir is a very cult band for me. I have both albums and I think they should have been bigger. "The Only Safe Place" is a hard kick-ass album, and a true metalhead should love 'Temptations Of The Flesh', fucking awsome song.

aaah man, Tokyo Blade was prolly my most fave NWOBHM band on the strength of the debut. By the time "Ain't Misbehavin" came around I kinda lost interest as it was a huge disappointment for me. I maybe need to go check it out again. I never hear "Night Of The Blade" with Vic Wright singing though. I liked his work in Johnny Crash.

This is their new album that I haven't heard yet.

These are from their s/t back in the day.

here is one for everyone. one of my favorites from the 80's and STILL never released on CD, and not for lack of my trying to make it happen!
