I was thinking of a somewhat interesting thread, so I came up with the "rarest of the rare". Show off your rare metal stuff !!!

I aquired some rare singles today;
*Raven - promo single with "Crash-Bang-Wallop" and "run them Down" 1982
*Znöwhite flexy see through promosingle with Live for the Weekend, Never felt like this and Vengeance (on no other Znöwhite record)...

I'm sure you guys have some rare stuff to show off too !!

Here's a pic...

Rarest things I have are - Legend: Hideaway 7" with p/s
Last Flight: Dance To The Music 7" with p/s
Traitors gate 12" with p/s
Golgotha: Dangerous Games EP
Not sure how rare these actually are mind you. Not in the best condition either.

a) Nothing really rare
b) I don't have a digital camera

How rare is a square CD?

Probably the most rare thing in my collection is a Motley Crue bootleg done by a girl from a club that Swine and I were in...I know it's kinda lame compared to you guys' stuff, but here's the thing...she video'd it and the sound/pic are EXCELLENT and it's one of a kind footage! There are no other copies of this show in the world! So that makes it kinda cool in my mind....

I wouldn't call that lame ... a one-off Motley video is worth a dozen times my singles I think...Well, it's not only about value... I'm collecting all kind of live tapes and demo's of 80's Belgian metal bands. While no real money value, these are worth gold in history value, just to keep this stuff alive...It will take a while, but I'm digitising all with a friend and putting it on CD's, and later on on Soulseek to share with you guys...

Mmm maybe I can take some pictures of the rare stuff I have. I have some rare stuff although there will be many people here on UM that will have much more.

It will take a few day to sort it all out, take pictures and upload it all. Besides I am in a very busy period at my work at the moment.

Be patient, in the end I will post it, but it may be Christmass before I get around to it.

MOTÖRHEAD - Motörhead on white vinyl (Chiswick records)
You forgot to mention it´s the first edition with the swastika and it´s autographed by Lemmy, Filthy and Fast Eddie :D

SA SLAYER albums I guess would be considered rare despite that there are bootlegs of the albums recorded from vinyl to CD by now.

That's cool! I just picked up a boot copy on disc the other day.... sounds like crap though. When I find copies on vinyl I'm betting I can do better (if the vinyl is in good shape).

Yeah, whoever did that bootleg did a horrible job with it. My husband had copied the albums from vinyl to CDR and they sound a lot better. From then on I am always careful when buying old albums on CD because you never know if it´s just taken from some old, scratched vinyl or not.

I dont know if I would call it rare or not but I have Suicidal Tendencies First album on Vinal its in great shape and I have had it for 12 years .. it was released on Frontline Records in '83 ... like I said I dont know if it is actually rare but its rare for me

I have Motorhead - Motorhead (1977 - chiswick records) on red vinal, it plays really crackerly though. The swastika is a really tiny one on the spike on the forehead of the metal monster things face. I also have the HeadGirl e.p. The St Valentines Day Massacre (1981 - bronze records) on 10 inch vinal. I also have, on chiswick, the 12 inch single Motorhead (from 1977), with City Kids on the b side. + loads more stuff collecting dust in my cupboards....... I might put a pic of them on here soon.

COOL STUFF GUYS!

Hey Johnny D! I didn't know you were a fan of ST! I was a skateboarding punk throughout the 80's and that was my favorite album at the time. A classic! I Saw Your Mommy and Memories of Tomorrow rule the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have signed setlists by Vanden Plas and Tad Morose from their respective PP events. Actually I only have a photocopy of the VP setlist because I sent it to a big fan who had lost his job just before PPIV and wasn't able to make it, but I am proud of those items.

Are those songs available on any p2p sharing program?
If not, would you be so kind to rip them to mp3s? Pretty pleeze? :D
It's not as rare as yours, but I got myself long sought japanese only Riot's "Angel Eyes" EP. Bought it on eBay for $15, dear God, that's a price for a full running CD, not just 2 songs I haven't heard yet! :D
I guess that goes with being heavily hooked on some band... ;)
If there are interested parties, I'll rip it down to mp3 as soon it arrives, cause I still haven't seen it anywhere available for download.
