This is a jam from Friday night. The guitar playing is VERY generic, and VERY SHITTY! I'm embarassed to even post it up. I was sitting at the desk paying attention to the levels though, so I wasn't really focused on the guitar at all. My main interest was getting the drums recorded.
Second, the crash/china cymbals sound shitty because they are cracked/broken...my drummer is looking for new cymbals as we speak...Regardless, gives you a good idea of what the Profire 2626 sounds like.
Lastly, I have tom mics now, but I had 2 cables that were bad when I recorded this, so i took them out of the mix. The toms are coming from the overheads and sound weak...but that will be fixed in my next clip.
Appreciate any feedback on the overall sound/mix (minus the guitar, i think it sits a little far back maybe, but i debated taking it out even as it's so embarrassing, but it is what it is) as this is literally my first attempt recording drums, so any input is appreciated.
