Rate my drums.

I would mess with the room mics..compress them harder or something..you could get away with more energy in those drums. The cymbals aren't doing it for me yet...the kick has real nice attack..

Actually, I'm going into this not knowing what kind of sound you are going for....if you are going for the live, not a lot of samples thing..add more room and fuck with the cymbals a little more and it sounds pretty nice..id personally add a little more crack to the snare via distortion or something also.

Craic is, they're pagan/celtic metal.

The guitars were the worst tracked things on earth, as is the bass.

Iäm trying to cleasn everything up.

There are no room mics on this at all, there wasn't any in the sessions so i set up a bus with a convolution verb and a "drum room" impulse.

snare verb is Audio damage reverence.

Cymabals, they have a lot less "high" than usual cause the guitars are fucking killing it up with the fizz that i'm trying to tame! hahahaha

Anyhoo, cheers for the comments :D

Oh ok..you got fucked man..you are polishing a turd pretty damn well in this situation!

Try this also..maybe make a convolution reverb bus in mono too...and use a transient designer on that along with some distortion and some serious compression and try and add some energy to it that way...it definitely is passable now, im just being anal and throwing out random ideas that I try in these situations.

with no room mics though...well they screwed you.

hahaha, nah appreciated bro! Gonna reassess my mix tomorrow :D

The craic is, they're good bros of mine so i said i'd do one track and then we'd mutually agree if i should continue.

I.e, if they like my direction and if i like the way the session files are delivered and thir content.
