Rate my mix/mastering skills before I finalize! (Metalcore/Deathcore)

Sick tracks bro! Definitely like what i hear, just a couple suggestions tho. The kick needs some low end in my opinion...also, the vocals seem like they need to be a little more upfront or in your face. Not sure if it's a volume thing or maybe eq or reverb thats pushing them down a little in the mix. I was also wondering what u used to make the glitch part in jacob's ladder?? sounds pretty sweet!

Thanks man! yea, getting the vocals to sit right was a bit of a struggle. It's hard for me to gauge levels at times in my room. They were too loud in my final mixes so I had to touch them down a bit and I might have over done it. The kick was a pain in the ass too. I had to re-eq the bajeezus out of it to get it to really cut and punch, I agree tho could use more 60hz perhaps. The glitch was done using elastic audio in protools. I took two random sound samples from the internet and stretched them till I got that buzzsaw effect. then I added a little bit of white noise and chopped up the tape and used some funky panning automation. You can get all sorts of crazy with it but I kept it pretty simple. Glad you like it!
