This is my favorite In Flames song man. Anyways, the guitars are way too trebly/harsh with no body. Turn down the gain, treble, and turn up some mids/low end.

This mix is ear piercing, way too much treble and no bass. What are you using as monitors? Sounds like you're using an old HIFI system with lots of fake bass and no treble at all.

Too much gain on the guitars, too much 2khz-5khz, not enough low end. What these guys said. The perfomance seems good though.

Run the original song through a track to reference it.

Great song choice, but yes, this mix is crazy treble-y

The song was recorded at home, but mixed in my dorm room using Sony Headphones. I've had the impression the impression that the headphones were boomy before. I'll try to see if I can borrow some decent reference monitors.
