Rate this mix!...... (Submerged darkness sample 2)

Hi all!

Here is a second sample from the epic song, we are still mixing.
We made some changes in the mix....

1. We compressed the drums.
2. Compressed the bass.
3. Added some low end (140Hz and down)
4. Added some high end (8Khz and up)

Let us kwow what you think of it!

And does anyone know how to get a good lead sound out of the POD XT?
That is the main problem in the mix... the leads are thin and don't fit in the mix

This wont be any help to you - but I like the way that it sounds. It has a raw feel to it, yet still sounds like somebody knows what they are doing.
I like it.

yeah it sounds good!
Uhm well I can't get decent tone out of my podxt for lead sounds, maybe that's just me.
I prefer to use a real amp.

We are newbee's in mixing so we have a lot to learn.(doing it for 3 weeks now)
Next week we try to record the leads with a real amp. (powerball +engl 4x12 V30) I hope that the leads will fit in the mix then!

Do you guys have any tips for EQ-ing/compressing the leads?
