This thing is amazing. Best thing they've done since the 80's. It's rare for an 80's band to make an album that actually sounds true to their original sound. Loving this. :headbang:

Its awezum!
Didnt post anything here about it because i thought you guys would call me gay again.

I have a ticket to Sweden Rock Festival this year, so yeah: Ratt, Cinderella and Winger for me! :)
(It really has a kickass lineup this year.)

Don't really care for Cinderella, but RATT and Winger I always liked - Winger's Reb Beach is so under rated.

Reb kicks major ass.. saw him with Whitesnake -08, probably one of the best concerts ive been to.

Don't expect much. I saw them last year and they were painfully bad. Worst live mix ever and a generally poor performance to boot.

I saw them in -08, and the band was pretty tight, but Pearcy's vocals where terrible.
From what i have heard they are much better now, since they practiced like crazy for this new record.. anyways, im looking forward to seeing them again.

first 3 Ratt releases were pretty sweet.

I wonder if I'm the only guy that hates it when bands want to do the "True to our original sound 20 years ago" thing.
Ratt had some cool tunes in the 80s (although I'm not generally a big fan), so what's the point of recreating it? I heard a few songs off the new one and just thought how ridiculous it is that bands can't let go of the 80s.
It's time to move forward, experiment, understand that it's 2010 now and not the 80s. What made the bands relevant back then is that they put out records that were with/ahead of the time/s.
It's when bands like Metallica, Ratt etc etc start putting out records that try to capture their early sound that you realize they aren't relevant to today's scene anymore

I don't see it that way. Ratt is just Ratt; that's what they sound like.

What could they do to be more "2010", start doing breakdowns or Nickleback type stuff? I would laugh at them. I want more of what they do best.

Shit, I thought Tom Kiefer's vocals were like totally gone. I'm surprised Cinderella can tour...they don't have a different frontman now, do they?

Its still Tom Keifer.
He had to re-learn how to sing after the surgery, and it sounded like shit, but now days he sounds kind of good, but he doesn't have that cool raspyness he used to have(As his left vocal chord is completely paralyzed.).

Not everyone wants to grunt like a bunch of horny 14 year olds and pretend that they actually are just as tight as their record is. ;)
