It’s easier for you to see what people think which is both good and bad so you get all this slagging which comes from nowhere. That’s the ironic thing, there was this certain band that had been slagging us off, then one of the members was on our bus drinking our beer then the next day he slags us off, and it’s like you two-faced bitch. So to be honest I don’t care because we know what we’ve got.

Could he by any chance be reffering to Kayo Dot or something?

MÅ: Yeah, we’ve got the freaks. But I think it's fun. It’s cool, people like to talk music and criticize music and fight music. And I like to read it because some people are so fucked up its funny and I actually look for the threads where they’re slagging you off and in some sick way I like to read it. Sometimes though I think it gets a bit out of hand when they are discussing my weight, my mustache and that kind of stuff. But it’s all good, I think it's fun, if I were a kid I would be there all the time.

That's great our plan is working. All we have to do is diss him some more and he will be on here 24/7!

It's kind of disappointing though that the board has changed and the influx of morons has increased a substantial load and Mikael has to wade through all of that shit. It doesn't give the people that are actually here for the music a good rep in the band's eyes.

Anyway Mikael, even when you see us calling you fat or that you look like a 70s pornstar with the moustache, know this: we love you all the same

I think it's pretty fucked up for Opeth fans to be makin fun of Mikael like that saying he's fat and shit I mean even if you feel that you way you should keep it to yourself because this forum is for saying GOOD things about Opeth not makin fun of the members ...yea thats how i feel on the issue

About the messageboard, when I talked to Opeth at the Anaheim show (btw, AWESOME guys) Mikael said that he tries to check daily which is really cool Opeth= nicest people ever.
