what do you all think of this mix? im not quittte done mixing it but i need some other ears to give me an opinion cause mine are shot from messing with this all day

drums are all dfhs + slate samples, guitars impulsed using a 5150 head. the band also has two singers incase you were wondering

vox are a bit woofy in parts and sound somewhat unfinished (as far as EQ/compression) but it sounds good dude!

the band is.. interesting. haha.

sounds pretty good. very BTBAM esque. The tech metal thing is getting kinda watered down now.

Good job on the tones, especially for a rough mix. Tones are good - make sure you're not chopping off the full attacks on the rhythm guitars - you don't want it to sound artificial in a bad way (cut and paste) or people will accuse them of not being able to pull this shit off live. Guitar solo sounds very cut and paste to me, and a bit awkward in places.

That was pretty cool. Which kick sample did you use? I'm digging the guitar tones a lot. Was it just preamp out with impulse? I should try jumping on the impulse craze. As CJWall said, the vox are a bit unfinished sounding and don't gel with the mix as well as I'd like. Still badass sounding, though.

i used kick5 in the steven slate drum samples. and yeah its just my 6505+ preamp out into my interface with an impulse applied in nuendo. and i havent heard much decapitated... did they rip a part completely or something?

Mix sounds good on headphones over here, vocals may be a little to loud for my taste, but that is not really an issue.
