I decided to road test a new piece of gear today, and to do that I chose the Narcosynthesis DI pack. There are three clips, listen to all, choose a favorite, and let me know your thoughts on each. Thanks!

Actually, all things considered, I was surprised how similar they all sounded as well oh well, I still like them all anyways, so it's not all bad news

200 views, guess I will reveal what was used. Given the way the voting turned out, this could potentially turn into a cool boost vs. no boost convo. I think most of the tube amp guitar tone specialty guys here use some form of coloring boost, but I know some other forums really hold onto the no boost "amp au-naturale" get the tone from the amp thing.

A - Maxon OD820 (4)
B - No boost (single cable) (0)
C - JFET Clean Boost (3)

Radial Pro RMP (modded to Jensen Reamp specs), [Variable], Peavey 5150, Boogie Cab V30's, Shure SM57 + Audix i5 using the "Edge of the Earth" technique, PreSonus FirePod.

All three tones were definitely usable, so it's win, win.
