Reaper 3

Nice, been using the betas forever now, was waiting until this came out so I could buy a license that would be good to 4.99... Just bought my non-commercial license now, and they changed the terms of it, now it states:

You may use the discounted license if any of the following is true:

* You are an individual, using REAPER only for personal use.
* You are an individual or business, using REAPER for commercial use, and the yearly gross revenue does not exceed USD $20,000.
* You are an educational or non-profit organization.

Woohoo, I don't have to shell out the $225 for the commercial version and I can still legally use it to record clients!

I gave it a quick spin today on my Macbook. It's nice, the new look is MUCH better, in terms of both appearance and workflow. It's a seriously viable DAW, with some nice features.

OMG that's the best news so far ! I can also finally buy it till 4.99 and it saves me $175 too !

Damn. I like it and all, but they won't allow my old license to transfer....
I have to pay again......
Kinda BS seeing as how it was founded on the principle that you pay once and get lifetime upgrades, but whatever....

they finally got a website that looks as pro as the software...

hopefully now they focus on some unique plug-ins and time warping features!

thats probobly hundreds of updates for a measly 60......

Did you register at 1.x or 2.x? If you registered after 2.0 was released you are entitled to a free upgrade to 3.0, there's a website to convert your old license key to one of the new license key files.

Sweet, that's what I like to hear!

Go to the buy page, and is written in the low right hand corner :

Special Cases
If you wish to upgrade a discounted license to full license for the difference in price, inquire about bulk license discounts, or have any other special licensing needs, please email licensing@cockos.com.

So basically you will have to pay $10, just ask them.
