Alright, I'm finally wrapping up my work at grad school and getting to the point where I can start using this laptop as an additional tool for working on tracking bass and guitar overdubs/ideas and editing. I'm really interested in Reaper as I can't read a bad thing about it, and the mixing gets done in DP (see Kazrog's posts).
My question is this, what interfaces work best? I'm interested in multi-channel and also single/dual channel inputs. I couldn't find anything on the Reaper site, so please fire away.

Oh yeah, system settings:
Intel P4
2.66 GHz
480 MB (will upgrade to 1GB)
XP Pro SP2
