Reaper is being funny

Hope you can help me here!

I recorded some stuff in Reaper. I rendered the bass track to WAV after adding some effects (ampsim and reverb). Now I cannot control the volume of the track anymore. No matter what I do with the sliders, the volume stays the same. Booming that is. Any ideas what might cause this?

click and drag the item to a new track, see what happens.

Check if you did any automation accidentally.

Copying it into another track does nothing at all.

The stupid thing keeps playing even if I f***in mute it oO
When I solo the track I hear nothing though!
I'm going mental over this!

Zip the project with just the one track/item in it and upload it...

It's probably being sent pre fader to another track

Yeah check you I/O button see if its being sent somewhere.
Other than that Im stumped.
