Recording a band today.. Got all of the instrumentation done, but all of the drum tracks are "Offline"..

I did, recently move all of the tracks to a different destination.

I even click "Search" when the dialog box shows up, but nothing happens!

Help?

Can you see the tracks in your hd? if you can but reaper's search function ignores them for some reason, manually drag? did you get all the stuff done in one day?? man the best band i recorded (and recorded in a.. very non-pro way anyway) took almost 2 weeks, and the guys were good! the guys loved the fact that i preferred to re-track everything instead of editing :P

MOTHER FUCK. Still cant get it to work

Getting this:

"There were 14 files in 7866 places in the project that are in an off-line state, reload the project once the files are available. Note that saving the project is OK, the filenames should be preserved."

^ Yeah, exactly.

Do you save your project files in an organized way or do you start recording before ever saving the project? If you've done that, a bunch of files are going to be in a random "REAPER Media" folder on your hard drive since Reaper had no idea where else to put the files, let's cross our fingers that you didn't decide to delete the contents of that folder, heh... I know Ryan has done it!

Thank you for your replies guys!

I ended finding out this:

I've been saving all of my projects onto my external.. I really like doing that because it's 4 TB, and I can save space on my computer.

Today I found that my cat chewed through the USB cable to that external! haha.. Had to go pick a new one up to record.

Thanks again guys.

download this tiny program, it SAVES MY LIFE when i have the same problem. since with reaper, it tell you the name of the file(s) that are offline, just type the file in, and it will automatically come up and you can just drag and drop unless, of course, they are not on your hd at all.
