Try going to the musician's discussion. Although I'd recommend Duncan JB and 59 pickups for the bridge and neck respectively.

I'm going to recommend some actives because I love my actives, but this doesn't mean they're better than passives. Try some out and hear the differences for yourself. Anyway, a good combo would be an EMG 85 at the bridge and a 60 in the neck position.

that isn't very much to work with. what guitar is it, what styles do you play and what's your budget? are you looking to replace all the pickups, or just one?

im gonna bump this cuz i too have pickup questions. lookin for somthin with alot of grind but can play a clean black metal style. i was lookin at the dimarzio "humbucker from hell", doesnt look to shabby, but its only a neck pickup. asuming i get this kellystar, i wanna switch the pickups. i dont like emgs.
