There's not much I can say about this album, except no one around here seems to mention it and it is probably one of the most underrated albums of the 70s. Likely the best proto-punk endeavor (even better than The Clash's "London Calling"), TELEVISION's landmark album showcased a sound that not many people had ever heard before in 1977. Fusing punk aesthetics with musical virtuosity, "Marquee Moon" is nevertheless an all-out ROCK album. So far it's only achieved a cult following, but VH1 named it the 83rd greatest album of all time and Rolling Stone ranked it 128 out of a top 500. So it's still floating around in the undercurrents of rock history.

Metal, rock, punk, prog, new wave... whatever you're a fan of, you should at least check out these songs and see what all the fuss is about...

Worth listening to understand their status, at least. Their kvltness isn't usurpated to say the least, that was certainly innovative stuff in 1977 (I mean it)

77, I think.

Dick Sirloin : have you ever heard any Dictators? That was Ross the Boss's band before manowar, during the punk era. They weren't really punk tho. Also Handsome Dick Manitoba, who later formed Manitoba's Wild Kingdom.

also, Radio Birdman???
