i have one crowbar album that i find pretty subpar, i think it's the s/t. had a few good tracks but was mostly crap. i have been meaning to re-check them out though, 11 years ago i wasn't exactly into sludge. any standout albums?

Nah not really. I was just thinking that their latest "Lifeblood for the Downtrodden" must be the closest thing to stoner I keep in my cabinet. And it's pretty decent.

I'll second the Abdullah. You also need Buried At Sea's Migration. I also just picked up Ocean's Monument/Fork Lashing Eye, and my early impression is good.

Buried At Sea - Migration is my favorite doom album ever.
