Yay time for another recommendation thread. I have very specific wants/needs, so listen closely.

-Stoner. Metal or rock. Avoid anything well-known. Stuff like Acrimony, Orange Goblin, sHEAVY, 500 Ft. of Pipe, Queens of the Stone Age, etc.

-Grindcore. This one is for people who actually know what they're talking about. Grindcore entails a noticeable punk influence, not just anything fast and loud, like most people seem to think. Stuff like Assuck, Repulsion, and Discordance Axis.

-Unique BM. No goofy fucking "blast blast blast" bands, or shit like that. I'm looking for atmosphere without really long songs. I'm looking for epic...ness. I'm looking for melody, yet brutality. "Romantic" BM is also wanted, as in, stuff with piano pieces and melody, yet a grim aura of rawness. Stuff like Eikenskaden, Moonblood, Summoning.

-Other random stuff. Doesn't even have to be metal, just anything you've liked lately. List a genre, if you can.

Thanks.

Stoner- Bongzilla, good stoner/sludge metal.

Grindcore- Fornicator/Whore. 2 catchy grind/death bands. You're Fired has a noticeable punk influence, so you might enjoy them.

Unique BM- Azrael. Their "Into Shadows" albums are incredible, although their songs tend to be a big long.

Thanks.

If you haven't heard them yet, I strongly recommend Graveland("In The Glare of The Burning Churches" and "Thousand Swords" in particular).

Bongzilla does, indeed, rock.

I'll check Fornicator and Whore out, since I've heard of 'em.

Azrael wasn't really my bag, but an honest effort.

You could probably try Dismal Euphony - Automn Leaves - A Rebellion Of Tides.

I don't really listen to much stoner doom

Atmospheric BM:

This is mostly ambient noise/instrumental. Rich in dark atmosphere.
