Battalion are an aussie War metal band that unfortunatly recently split up, they only put out this one full length a demo before it and also featured on a few compilations. Lyrically everything is about Australian soldiers during WWI and having briefly met the singer/guitarist, im certain everything is accurate as he's really into it. This hosts good guitarwork all round, some nice leads and the basslines are pretty killer to boot. Think some of you guys may dig this, but, I believe this album is now out of production.

Ace stuff - the lead work rules, the songs are frantic and suitably savage, and as you said, the bass work is pretty damned solid too.
