Come hither, ye manloving techno and neofolk fans! (A DOUBLE RECOMMENDATION! HOLY SHIT!)
(although figuratively manloving techno and neofolk as an all-purpose tag for non-metal shit that I listen to, as applied by fotmbm, this is what people expect from me, so I have no choice but to deliver. Give the people what they want, as they say.)

So, Mushroom's Patience. Where to begin? Mushroom's Patience has existed for quite some time now in the Italian avant-garde scene with numerous releases (largely an absurd number of demo recordings dating all the way back to the the late 80s), although they have most recently garnered acclaim for their newer releases put out on Oktagon Records and Albin Julius's Hau-Ruck! label. To my knowledge (although this is a bit sketchy here) the band, while centred around the main composer Raffaele Cerroni, the band shares quite a few members with Novy Set.
That introduction aside, which most of you probably skipped over anyway or are saying to yourself "yeah, yeah, we get the point, but what can we expect to hear from this band?" Well, here's the thing, the music is fairly random. They call themselves an 'atonal pop-combo', which perhaps combining that with some more silly generic and randomly strung-together descriptors, like 'jazzy avant-garde psychedelia'. Anyhow, for the releases in question, it is said that the LP/CD combo release 'From The Mountain'/'The Spirit Of The Mountain' has been inspired by the writings of Julius Evola (omg favorites among both Møøsenazi AND Spite Extreme Wing) although it's difficult to discern how the influence has been applied (Italian weirdos unite!). Don't let that discourage you though, it's groovy music, man...
Now that's as much as I'll say, barring making a full review out of it. The samples from the CD are better than the ones from the LP, because I had to rip the vinyl myself. Now go forth ye hobknobbing knobgoblins!
