I was going to save this for one of my ten recommendations I shall spring forth like Athena from the Head of Zeus come this Sunday, but hell, Christmas came early lads. This is a throwaway recommendation, not for everyone, but I'm sure it will go over decently enough. What we have here is Nefandus (check Black Metal Recos beyond the obvious for their blistering early 90's black metal work.) What we have here is a reformed Nefandus, headed by BelFAGor of Ofermod fame. Atmospheric black metal with some Middle Eastern Mesopotamian flare thrown in to the mix. The vocals remind me of the Portugal fuck from Moonspell every now and then, but the music bares no further similarities. Pretty much mid tempo, with a mixture of harsh/clean vocals, and habib squishy shilling shrills thrown in to add a touch of elegance. Music to peruse a Getty Center Museum by.
