A late addition to my 2005 top 10 list, quickly advancing to the top spot, On the Wings of Phoenix is perhaps the ideal progressive death metal album to these ears. Now, don’t let the word ‘progressive’ scare you away, there’s still plenty of death metal goodness and not a lot of overt wankery going on here. Just good, solid songs that occasionally incorporate some elements of prog. The 2nd disc is easily my favorite, despite containing what I believe to be a bunch of leftover tracks after the main album was whittled down to its current tracklisting.

Sorry for the double-post. I can't see a delete link on the original. UM crapped out while saving it.

Glad you like it Nate. For those who like it, The End just got it in stock for $15.50. Definitely better than the 30 Euros or so it would cost to order directly from the band (after shipping to the US).

Yeah, Peace is unlike the rest of the CD, but there are a couple tracks on the bonus disc that are similar to Peace (or at least have the same girl singing on them).

People don't really seem to be playing along with the recommendations game do they? To be honest, I read all the descriptions, but only download what sounds interesting to me. But, just for the hell of it, I might give these a go.

I think more people might be checking out the samples than it seems, alot of people just dont reply in these threads. I've downloaded at least one song from all the reco's so far I think, although I havent gotten around to listening to them all yet.
