Ok, well as you can tell I didnt put an album title up there because I dont actually own any of their stuff. Just mp3's of everything, because I sure as hell am not spending 30+ on a damn cd. (been looking though)
I was turned on to these guys in 2004 when Ensiferum released 'Iron'. The song 'tears' was the first time I had heard Kaisa Saari, and I was hooked. Did some searching on the net and found Tarujen Saari, proceeded to download everything.
The music itself is good ole' euro folk. Some great melodies, mostly acoustic guitar, mandolin, and recorder type stuff. The main focus (at least for me) are Kaisa Saaris vocals. It really doesnt get any better for female vocals.
She sings on the new Ensiferum - Dragonheads ep. And Tarujen Saari has a new cd coming out sometime during spring.
