Recorded our band's first song for the new EP

...been working on it on and off for a little over a month now. This is the very first recording I have actually tried to make sound as pro as possible. What are your thoughts?

for this recording, as rediculous as it sounds, I used a Schecter C-1 Classic in GDGCFA (Like a 7 without the 7th string), strings were Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky 54-11.

great tone, and what about the bass? (strings, tuning?)

not sure about the strings for the bass, but it was a 5 string, same tuning.

You were using 54s for dropped G???!
I play 60s for dropped C!

i think it depends on the music that you play , no?
i play a kind of old school thrash/death with oriental melodies, and personally i don't use drop tuning. i was 52/10 playing iin D, but now i decided to play in C or B. so i'll buy a 60 set, and i'll try , do you think that 60 will be suitable for a B tuning?
