Hi all !

I made my first recording this week end using real instruments and Cubase SX 3. If it's very interesting and if I'm quite proud of it, I'm disappointed by the sound of the clean guitar as well...

When I'm playing some chords, the last string sounds like a bass one.

Ok, I'm very beginner, I'm using simple material :
Microphone AKG Perception 100 + Behringer ultragain MIC100 preamp...
but I think it would be enough to make a simple recording of a voice, a bass gtr and an electric guitar... (the drum is a midi one, Yamaha DTExpress)

When I'm recording the clean guitar, I'm not using any plugin of Cubase... All the level are set to default.

Can you give me some advices (amp ? preamp ? cubase levels ?) to have a guitar sounding as a guitar (even the 6th string). On the guitar amp, I put the basse level to 0, and the medium level to 8 (I read some articles about the medium which should be the most important frequencies of a guitar). May the bass guitar recording cover the 6th string guitar shitty sound ? (I still have not recorded the bass gtr)...

Thanks a lot for your advices...
