Recording guitar direct in

So how many ppl record guitar straight in instead of mic'in up the cab, i just tried it out and thought it was quite good but it didn't sound beefy enough so ive had to edit more any1 got tips for recording direct in?

Right this is how new i am to recording i dnt really know what impulses do ive heard of them if u cud tell me what they do how they work that'd be awesome man

Well if u dont use impulses its not wierd it sounds non-beefy

Make sure he doesnt use the cab simulation on it when he records then

just wondering what happens if he records while the cab sim is on? it must suck to record with it off? can he just play his guitar with it on?

Yes ofc he can play with it on. But it will sound better afterwards if he use Guitarhacks or Poidaobis impulses
