Recording guitars.. Help!!

Hi!
I'm gonna record guitars for our demo tomorrow and I have a hughes and kettner switchblade head (tuba amp) and a Toneport UX1 with the metal shop pack!.. Which way is the easiest to get a nice mix from? recording with only the switchblade, the Ux-1? or both? i planned on making 4 rhytmguitartracks.. 2 for each harmony.. right or wrong, don't know anything about this i just feel that the sound from the UX-1 is "cleaner" and easier to "handle" for amateurs like us??

Both. Use impulses with the UX1 though.

If you're new and it's only a demo, I'd just go with the Toneport. It's easier like you said.

Definitely. And like guitargodgt said...use impulses instead of the internal cab-sim stuff. You should be able to get a great sound this way.
