recording punkrock band, tips!?

I can't remember exactly. If my memory serves me right I compressed a wee bit with the built-in comp. I rember leaving the the eq knobs at 11~12 o'clock except for the mid wich were boosted a bit.
I reduced a bit of 150hz and 900hz and boosted at 600hz and 2khz on the graphic eq. The gain and tube gain were at set 12 o'clock each. No ultra Lo/Hi.

I don't think Green Day and such count as punk. If you want true punk sound, record all instruments into a cheap tape recorder (no shit). That'll get you an authentic sound
