Haven't seen Manhunter yet. I very nearly bought it on DVD a few months ago, but had some more important stuff to get first. I'm told it has William Petersen (Grissom from CSI) as Lecter. Great actor, but is he evil enough?

NO. Nonononono.

William Petersen plays Will Graham (or whatever his name is - the FBI dude). Brian Cox plays Lecter. I thought he was pretty good - heaps of people (the sorts who like to go against trends just for the sake of it) think he was better than Anthony Hopkins, but I don't.

It's a critically acclaimed film, though, and it's directed by Michael Mann, who is a deadset legend (he directed "Heat", "The Insider", "Ali", "Last of the Mohicans" and created "Miami Vice").

Makes more sense to have Petersen playing Will Graham now I think about it. You only need to watch him in CSI to tell that he's very good at those sort of roles.

He would have been great as Frank Black in Millennium as well, not that Lance Henriksen didn't do a great job.

Anybody else here ever watch Millennium? Way underrated series IMHO. It sparked my interest in criminal psychology and was often better than The X-Files in its heyday .

There are so many of those sorts of shows on Foxtel that they all seem like the same thing after a while Haven't watched Millennium, btw, although I should seeing as Lance Henriksen is just below Bruce Campbell in the deadset legend rankings.

Millenium Lance Henriksen Did we ever get the last season out here? We did, didn't we, but it was really late and all over the place.

I think there are still 10 episodes of Season 3 that didn't get shown here . It'll all turn up on Foxtel one day and I'll talk some kind person into recording it for me.

I've heard there's a DVD box set of Season 1 due out at the end of this year. If so, must have .

Problem with that sort of thing is that it's so long between episodes that I forget the story arc. It's like that with the X-Files now. I spend the entire episode going "Who's that? And who's that. Where'd he come from. Why's he doing that. What explosion? Where's Mulder? Who's that? What's happened to Scully? Didn't that one die? Where'd she come from? Where's Cancerman? What happened to Deep Throat?"

I haven't watched a full episode of The X Files since the first series. I wonder if I should bother catching up.

Watch Seasons 2-7 of XF. Season 8 was a complete waste of time, so much so that I'm not even bothering with Season 9 uke:.

Do we know or care what Chris Carter's up to now? No, because he took the one marketable idea he ever had and ran it so far into the ground that no-one gives a shit any more .
