So which cds have you pulled off your shelf recently that you love, yet forgot about?

For me, i just found my Frantic Bleep disc and it's awesome. Everyone loves FB. Also, the Age of Silence ep is always awesome.

I've had Frantic Beep since it first came out and listened to it again on Friday... My reaction was the same... AWSOME!

Green Carnation's Acoustic Verses is another that didn't make a big first impression until I played it this morning....

Master of Puppets by Metallica. Every so often, I dust that off in my iTunes and spin it over and over again for a few hours and play Phantasy Star Online (in 1p mode. I never got the Internet thing on my Gamecube) to it, and I always forget just how amazing that cd is.

Meshuggah - Catch Thirty-Three

I bought this and thought it sucked, but now I realize that it's really pretty good.

I bought Riverside - second life syndrome and thought it was the most horrible cd I have ever heard.:Puke: For some reason it just hit me one day and I discovered the true awesomeness of it!

Stuff like that happens to me all the time. There are obviously some albums that just blow me away upon the first listen, but some take a while.

There isn't an album I can think of that I've set aside for quite some time and have rediscovered, but there are some albums I'd purchased, listened to at that time, and then put away for a long time, assuming that I'd never like it.

- Green Carnation's Light of Day, Day of Darkness. I wasn't impressed overall, and that portion with the girl getting killed always turned me off (still does, but the song as a whole is a good listen)
- (shockingly... please don't hurt me...) Images and Words. I don't fully know why, but I didn't give the album a chance. One reason is because it wouldn't play in my discman (my main source of listening to music at the time), but I didn't really care that much anyway. Months later, I pulled that album out again, and it fuckin' blew my load. I later purchased a slew of DT albums.
- I didn't really like Adagio's Sanctus Ignis, but after purchasing Underworld (and loving it), I got into Sanctus.
- Cario's Conflict and Dreams is another example, although, I didn't dislike it at first, I just didn't have an urge to listen to it again. That has now changed.
