Release date for new Symphony X album

lol. Let's hope it comes out waaaay before then. Speaking of SymX though....On Jaxx's website it says to stay tuned for a show from them....hopefully SX is planning a North American tour for the near future. Jaxx is 5 hours away from me but I would definantly travel for SX.

LOL It wouldn't surprise me if that only came in 2025... Here's what should happen in metal by then:

-Kiss will finish their last leg of the Farewell tour
-Magnitude 9 will have played ProgPower; Corey Brown's son will be a doctor, finally.
-Nevermore will have finally played ProgPower after having to cancel another 9 times since ProgPower VII.
-Guns N'Roses' Chinese Democracy's official street date is announced.
-Wastefall's USA VISAs are approved.
-Nightwish's new singer is announced.
-Matt Barlow rejoins Iced Earth.
-General Zod's hair grows again.

LOL amazon.com has been known to do this sorta thing.
I also have seen date's on DVD sets before that are listed as to be released in 1976 . lol.

I must say I am looking forward to this album. I do hope it's better than the last. That one was good, but still not near what Twilight was to me..

Also:
-Gargling will be a new popular vocal form for metal! Swedish Technical Gargle Doom will rule the airwaves!
-James Hetfield will finally wise up and realize that Lars was the one that ruined Metallica and kick his ass! :flame:
-Ayreon will finally play PPXXVI!!!:kickass:  This will affordable then, since the GB price will be $320, because of rising hotel costs! :erk:

-Van Halen will be produced by Eddie and consist only of his children and grandchildren. They still won't put out any records, and Eddie will still be the only one who cares.
-CenterStage announces NEW LIGHTED STAIRS!

As someone who works in music distribution, 12/31/25 is what we put in a database when we know something's coming, but we aren't sure when.

Kiss's Alive IV was listed like that for maybe five years.

Zod

Does anyone know, with the exception of LaPond's illness, why they've allowed so much time to pass between discs? With all the touring they did in support of "The Odyssey", including on Gigantour and with Queensryche, it seems they had built a good head of steam. It seems that momentum has probably been lost... which is a shame.

Who knows?!? They totally lost momentum, which really is a shame. And I hate to say it, but I have a feeling this album will be disappointing, although I hope I'm wrong. It's been taking way too long, they never even bothered to clarify exactly why it's been happening (I am probably gonna get flamed by the fanboys/girls here now for saying this)... Who knows... We'll see.

On the SX forum, you can get the predictable: Hey folks, these guys do have their own lives excuse, or the redundant, Well you all know MJR is a perfectionist excuse. It's all hot air as far as I'm concerned. The album has been delayed to the point where simply stating that it will deliver is not enough. They could have used Gigantour as a springboard, and instead they managed to pour water on the fire. Such a shame that such an amazing band has fallen victim to some extremely poor career decisions.

Here's a post on studio updates, going back to Feb. of 2006. There were equipment issues @ MJR's studio, along with LePond's illness, and it appears a chain reaction of delays in scheduling/rescheduling the mix of the new cd. I think you'd be more disappointed if it was rushed, but even hinting that you feel it'll be a disappointing release without hearig a note is just wrong. I'm not even that harsh on PoS! :Saint:

I DO agree that they lost momentum, but lets see what happens when the cd is released a little later on this year. I'm just as anxious as anyone to hear it, and I'm fairly confident the new cd will slay, based solely on who's involved in creating it.
