just recording this punkband....
I recorded proper samples before setting up the cymbals etc...I might upload those later-...

these are just tracked in the middle of the recording, with cymbals ringing, not 100% skin etc, so they're far from being perfect....
but might perhaps be usefull for some more "live" sound....use it or throw it away (more likely I guess ;)

btw, the snare is actually great sounding (not necessairily in this clip ;) ) I'll see if I can post the proper samples later

btw, here's a wee clip hoe the kit sounds with no EQ or anything...just the tracks as recorded (a tiny bit of comp on the drumbus though).

the kit is a pearl export, so meeeh, but the Remo suits the style of this music pretty well actually....can imagine that properly EQ'd and processed in the end the whole kit might actually turn out ok (for an export ;) )

aha, well.....punk ;)

I'll post a mix later as soon as I got something

man the new pearl export´s are so underrated!!!!!
with good evans or remos and a little tape and the silicon pads you can get an amazing drumsound out of this cheap set!!!!

andy sneap used a pimped up export for a while, didnt he?

Cheers for the sample though
I'll check this out when I get home!

You actually know that the older exports (with the long lugs) are actually really good! These things sound heavy and neat.
I think the batch produced late 80's begin 90's is the best export series Pearl ever has made.
The wood used now is completelly different...so not liking the new exports that much.

our old drummer had a export from the 80´and the set TOTALY SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!
But then he bought a new export and it was another world!!!!
Our new drummer has a export too, but it sounds like 10 times better then the other!!!
He is a better player and he has this EVANS on everything. they sounding great!!!

Mm yea, I'm not a fan of those old exports with those long lugs going across the whole drum, and with the mounting being THROUGH the drum. The ones with short lugs and I.S.S mounting is a whole lot better :)

The less shit on the drum, the better... I don't get why you would want long pieces of metal going across and around your drum.
