Depends. I'm not familiar with the Windsor cabs, but most mass produced 4x12s are built pretty much the same way. If it's built out of birch I'd say go for it as long as the cost doesn't exceed buying a cab that already has the speakers you want.
interesting, i was going to ask the same question, my friend has v30 he removed from a cab a long time ago, i have a shitty ashton quad stack (closed back), i was thinking about subbing out a rocket for the v30, is it worth it?
If you could get hold of an Ibanez cab I'd say go with that. Out guitarist has one and it's built like a fucking Mesa cab! Weighs almost as much as well. Just a shame the drivers suck. Thomann used to sell them for cheap, not any more it seems.
In all honesty though why bother with this idea when you can pick up a Harley Benton cab loaded with v30's from Thomann for £284? You'd be lucky to even be able to get the drivers for that price separately. And the 2x12" Version is only £162.
