I feel like when I am given a bad song, even if it is tracked well and etc, the mix just sounds like shit no matter what I do. I feel like I should be able to at least squeeze every last bit of excitement out of the song through fx and automation and so on and so forth.. but, in the end it's still just a bad song and doesn't make me feel anything (except depressed that now my name is going to be attached to it)
