Retubing the fireball

I'm looking to retube my fireball and i was thinking about putting sed winged c 6l6's in it and jj preamp tubes. anyone got any suggestings for tubes for it and do you guys think that would be a good combo of tubes.

oh im not scared just for the longest time i just put what came stock in my amps back into them whenever i retubed

Tung Sol are my favorite. Those, or Mullard reissues. EH are too bright for me, and I didn't like the grindy sound I got out of Chinese.

There are also always the Sovtek KT66 Power Tubes. They're a drop in replacement for 6L6, and they sound like a mix between EL34 and 6L6. Its a nice happy medium between the two, IMO.

iv jammed on el34's and idk they just don't do it for me. the only amp i have played with el34's i dug was the jvm410
