Hi all,

Just got Return... in the mail today, im a little puzzled though, why is it that the censored version of Im the Man is on there, but Im The Law is seemingly uncensored, and the lyric section on the offical site for Return... has the uncensored lyrics ?

This seems a little inconsistant and mixed up to me, what is going on ?

Well, I guess its not as bad as it could be, the censored version is still rather fun and i do have the kick ass live version as a mp3. but still im rather dissapointed.

Im wondering if it may be Anthrax's idea of a joke or something after all they do have a somewhat odd sense of humor and they did have input into what went on the record acording to the notes in the booklet.

I'm not going to say the album sucks. I did think the John/Joey duet was cool, but otherwise I would have kept the John and Joey stuff on separate discs, and might have kept obvious omissions (like where the hell is "Caught in a Mosh"?) from occurring. I also was frustrated how only a partial version of Grunt and Click is tagged on at the end...it took me forever to figure out what the song was called and where to find it. Why not include the whole version?

Ultimately, since I owned everything except Ball of Confusion, I was spending money on stuff I already own. This is one way that file sharing has been a huge savings for me, and if it wasn't Anthrax, I probably wouldn't have bought the CD.

As a long time fan, I would have preferred an actual Return of the Killer B's, following the original concept by actually releasing b-sides. Granted, I have all of those, too, but at least half were downloads that I didn't own the original of, so it would be nice to have a disc with them all in one place. In that case, I'd be happy to spend money on stuff I already own to see the band get their royalties, without spending mega-bucks on some ultra-rare single from Japan to get one of the many tracks.

Like I said in my post above: that is an old old record company trick that bands and manangament have also subscribed to for years: leave off one or two obvious hits (ie: Caught in a Mosh, In My World, AIR) to keep the back catalog selling. Rarely, if ever, do you find a truly "comprehensive" compilation. It's not a conspiracy theory, but a marketing strategy, and I think it blows.
