Reunion Bashers

I've seen that before, it's fucking pathetic.

Seriously, if you don't like the reunion, good for you. You don't need to go and make a club bashing the reunion. I love how they say Joey sounds dated......if Scott and Charlie had said they kicked him out because he snored, they'd use that as one of their reasons. I just don't get it, how does a higher singer sound dated??? If anything, the RIFFS are what make a band sound dated (I actually like older sounding riffs better). Take Nevermore for example, Warrel is a higher singer, and the vocals don't sound dated one bit. Heathen? yeah, 'nuff said. The whole reason this club is in existence, is because they're just sore their preferred singer was replaced.

Must be an imbecility virus spreading somewhere.

I got it! I'm going to make the Make John Bush Return To Armored Saint Club who's with me?

FIRST OFF, WE DO NOT WANT TO FOUL EITHER A GOOD REPUTATION OF THE BAND OR ANY OF ANTHRAX MEMBERS. WE RESPECT JOEY BELLADONNA AS A SINGER OF ANTHRAX IN "THE CLASSIC" YEARS, BUT HIS SINGING IS TOO DATED FOR ANTHRAX IN 2005, PLUS HE DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE IT ANYMORE.

Haha, he sure fucking had it when I saw them in April. Fuck this stupid site. I'd take the sometimes off key wails of Joey over the stupid modern rock singing John Bush was incorporating into the band any day.

Hell Yeah Wyv!! I second that motion. John being in Anthrax has produced less than stellar results IMO. Saint has NEVER failed me. It's time for a new album.:headbang:

it all depends on you prospective .... Belladonna could have never Pulled off "Sound of White Noise" which happens to be an alltime favorite metal album for me .... Just as John never really did any justice to alot of the older thrax

I agree 100%. I don't like any Bush era Anthrax less SoWN, but that is their masterpiece. Awesome release and I seriously doubt Bush has much to do with their "new" sound. Even on SoWN, Anthrax didn't use John's vocals to their limits. If you listen to the later Armored Saint like "Reign of Fire" John absolutely rips on tat stuff. I personally think the Anthrax singwriting well has run dry and it doesn't matter who sings for them.

:) and I agree with you 100% your right Anthrax NEVER used John to his full potential even on SoWN ... but what can I say bad about SoWN? Nothing at all! hahaha I absolutely love that record! .... but it was to bad Anthrax went for more of a Mainstream sound after SoWN in the 90's ... it failed thankfully but its to bad ... John needs to go back to AS and make another Great album like SoS and Revelations :D .... and I also agree that Anthrax's Creative well has long since dried up ... Belladonna would be better off Grabbin Danny and making a Killer solo record :headbang:

I was one of the reunion bashers, until I actually saw them with Joey. And well, he is the right guy fronting Anthrax, no doubt about that. He definitely hasn't "lost it", more like the opposite actually, he sounds stronger than ever.

But yeah, the return of Armored Saint is the main issue here. Can't really see a reason why it wouldn't happen, really. John's free, Joey's in every other metal band anyway and I doubt the rest of the guys have anything better to do.
Bring back the Saint! :headbang:

First of all, they're forgetting the fact that the band hasn't even decided whether or not the reunion is permanent. This is overbearingly pathetic.
well there was an article where John supposedly said he was done, permanently. But you have to question the credibility of the article..... I'll try and find it and post.

What the article said was that John considers himself out of the band, but I don't think he ever said anything about not returning to his duties if he was called upon.

He did, actually. This is from Blabbermouth (originally the interview was on Revolver magazine I guess):

"The idea of this reunion tour was to generate a bunch of enthusiasm for the band. But if they get people excited, they're going to want a new record, so they're going to follow up with a new album with Joey," Bush says. "So for me, I look at it as it's over. The last thing I want to do is say, 'Hey, I'll be here if you want me.'"

I think he definitely did the right thing by getting out of the whole Anthrax circus.

edit: Here's the link to the Blabbermouth story

Um... I don't really see how this bit would leave any room for speculation:

"So for me, I look at it as it's over. The last thing I want to do is say, 'Hey, I'll be here if you want me.'"

Then again, what do I know. The interview just gave the impression that John quit Anthrax for good.
