Why do you people care so much about Rob? How long was he in the band, like 5 minutes? What giant contribution has he made to Anthrax that he is held in such high regard? Why isn't anyone crying over Paul Crook? The bottom line is Anthrax owes us no explanation as to what is going on in their private business. They're still touring, and are going to record an album sometime next year, so what's the big deal? They are not robbing anyone; they still go out and play their hearts out every night. It's not really our business as to what is going on in the inner world of Anthrax. You have a choice; either support them because you love the band, or stop buying their shit and move on. Use your own free will and make a choice.
I can only imagine what it would have been like if there was such a thing as the internet when David Lee Roth left Van Halen, or when Peter Criss left KISS. People are funny; they think they somehow own a piece of the band or deserve to be let in on all the personal business within a band. It's this crazy kind of obsessive thinking that led to Dimebag's murder.
They don't owe us shit...we choose to support them or not, but they cannot be slaves to their fans. Besides, Rob and John are grown men and can handle this all on their own. They are professionals who will not be out of work long if indeed they are out of "the family", so don't cry for them.
Charlie??? or Scott??? :err:

i agree i have no idea why people are crying for about Rob so much. he done one album and did some average solos compared to previous Thrax solos.

When Rob joined the band it was the first time Anthrax had a Stand Out, kick ass guitar player. Yeah Dan is a great Guitar Player, but Rob is a whole different league.

im sorry but saying that is just ridiculous! Rob has done one album and the solos wernt up to much. They were ok but not standout. How can you say he is in a different league??? If rob had played on more albums then i could maybe accept you saying that.

Totally. Dan had his very unique style and memorable solos, but technicalwise he was nowhere close to Rob and Paul Crook. Remember Scott's words about who was the best guitar player he'd ever...etc, etc.

you have just answered my argument! Ok rob may be better technical (can you prove this?!?) but they dont sound as good and arnt as memorable. i think you should be judged on how memorable and how catcy a solo is and not on how many techniques you can throw in or how many notes you can hit. if all lead guitarists were virtuosos metal would be shite

I just read Rob Caggs article on the website and I am so pissed off. I know y'all are sick of hearing this but I am fucking disappointed in all this shit. I have been a fan of the band for 15 years and it really pisses me off that they have continued to go on without Rob or John. I have spend so much goddamn money on shirts, and tickets and cd's to put up with this shit. I am never spending another dime on them and I might as well burn all my shirts in a bonfire. How dare they treat them this way. This is so no cool in my book. I was wondering if anyone else agreed with me.

Shut the fuck up already.. Get over it..

He played on Two albums and a live DVD. Regardless, that is the meaning of Standout. You only need to hear him once and you notice his talent.

The only way how to judge a guitarist is a TONE, SOUND and TECHNIQUE. Enough said.

How can you use an objective judgement system for a subjective art? I think Robs a great player and his solo's pump me up but i never remember any of it. I find Danny way more original and catchy so nyuck nyuck nycuk.

Song- and solowriting is much, much more important than that. It's like when Kurt Cobain gets in top ten of some "Best players...ever!" type of list. As much as I hate Nirvana and Kurt, I can understand that.

The only thing I don't like that much about Rob is his sound. Otherwise he's a good player in my book.
