Reverend Bizarre

is it worth buying in the rectory re-issue for the bonus CD, if i already own the original?
Yes very much alot of awsome songs on the bonus cd including a Barathrum cover which rules. And it is as long as another full length too.

Yeah and then give your old issue to the tool above us, or to me since I don't have that one.
So you have "most" of their albums but not the debut? :err:

I have their first two - both are great, but I enjoy In The Rectory... a lot more. I probably need to play Crush the Insects a lot more, I suspect it is more of a grower, with the even more drawn-out songwriting.

What, am I supposed to buy them in order? What's the fucking problem here?

I have:
Harbinger of Metal
Crush the Insects
Thulsa Doom (vinyl obviously)
Teutonic Witch

i know, i know, but the 2CD rectory series sells for $15 or so w/ shipping at the end. and at century media.

i think it's because it hasnt been officially released in the US

I was actually fairly disappointed in it... Not nearly as good as their single that came out a bit before it...Teutonic Witch, which I own. Don't know if I"ll buy the last CD... I'll have to listen to it again.
Almost all songs on So Long Suckers! are better then Teutonic Witch though.

You own most of their releases you can get a hold of nowdays without ebay except for the two best and most essential. Good job! ;)

A couple reasons for this... guessing, anyway, aka bored and wanting to talk out my ass:

1- Rectory isn't priced as a normal double album over here either. The second disc in Rectory was kind of a "bonus" thing.

2- The dollar has taken a real shit against the euro this year, so all you American import fans are in for some real pricing fun across the board. Still, the list price is 18€ in Finland, which is something around $25, so your $22 with shipping for So Long Suckers is still better than what us poor bastards in Finland have to deal with.

haha, fair enough Jim. it's still hard to swallow when you're used to paying $8-$15 for any album, including shipping.
