Hello

I use Cakewalk and I have a question regarding rhythm guitar panning.

I use 4 tracks of rhythm guitars...

On Cakewalk, the panning spectrum ranges from 0 to 127 and 64 is the middle. I usually pan guitarras this way:

Guitar Left 1: 8
Guitar Left 2: 10

Guitar Right 1: 119
Guitar Right 2: 117

I dunno if this is right or if I should pan hard to the edges of the spectrum (127 and 0) and if the guitars should be a little separated as I do or if they must be on the same place.

I also do the hard left/right thing for rhythm guitars when I only double them. When I do quad-tracking, I go with the hard left/right plus 50/-50 left/right respectively. But don't forget, use different settings on the different tracks you're tracking.

P.S: Your ears should always be above the theory you learn in here when it comes to sound engineering/setups
