Now I gotta figure out which one to get. the m160 is too expensive for this project so I'll probably end up with a tbone or Nady.

Hmm, anyone know the difference(s) between the Fathead and Fathead II?
with no transformer difference, sonically the Fathead and Fathead-II are the same.
I slightly prefer my Trion-7000 over the Fathead. My T7000 has an ever so slightly mellower mid range.
according to cascade, the differences are cosmetic only
of course changes in the body of the mic can lead to small changes in the sound...but the ribbon, grill, and electronics are all supposed to be the same
anyone tried an APEX ribbon mic on guitar? they are cheap, and i have a few apex condensers which are VERY good for the price!
i seem to remember someone here having one. ( maybe Lasse?)
