Brand new 4th full length album 'THE VAN MURDERS' by Sweden’s old school death metal machine RIBSPREADER will be released on April 25th via Vic Records.

The album sounds like the classic RIBSPREADER debut album ‘Bolted to The Cross’. Less groovy then ‘Opus Ribcage’, WAY more raw, harsh and old school (band leader Rogga expressed it as: ‘Dirty simple oldschool death metal, no frills and lots of chills’).

RIBSPREADER is one of Rogga Johansson longest lasting bands (of course he is known for his bands as PAGANIZER, DEMIURG, THE GROTSEQUERY, BONEGNAWER).

"The Van Murders" is the first RIBSPREADER concept album about two killers named The Cleaner and Mr Filth. Cover art by Turkka Rantanen (The Grotesquery, Demilech, Demiurg). The album is mixed/mastered by Patrick Bruss (Impetigo, Deteriorot) at the Filth Chamber in Denver, Colorado, USA, who also performed lead guitars on this album.

Brand NEW song is exclusively uploaded on the RIBSPREADER MySpace page. It's the track CADAVER DISPOSAL taken from the upcoming album THE VAN MURDERS.

I can't wait to see and hear the thing in the, eh...flesh. The mp3's sound great, but the real deal is guaranteed to be even better.

Im very pleased ith how the album turned out, especially since we were drunk most of the time, me and Andreas. And the artwork is fucken killer, Turkka really understood the album concept and my ideas for it.
Musically I think it turned out very much like a hybrid of the first album and Opus Ribcage.

Just listened to Cadaver Disposal, sounds rippin'. I loved Opus Ribcage - was dirty, raw and sounded kinda groovy at times.

Saw that one yesterday, 5/6 is awesome.

Tomorrow Scream Magazine comes out (hopefully), and I assume they have a review as well, especially if Rogga also has an interview in there.

YEAH, its freaking fucking expensive, but great as hell......

Hope luck turns, sales will be huge...and Ribspreader will have LP's out!

@Tapir, is the new Scream out? how is the intie / review? 5 / 5? haha

I'm hoping Scream will be out in the shops tomorrow. The release date is not always to be trusted for that mag. Subscribers have it already, but unfortunately I don't know anyone who subscribes.

Looking forward to reviewing it for the site here. Hopefully I'll be able to persuade some to jump on the classic death metal train.
