Dime was the epitome of fun; great guitarist, ambassador of
metal, cool partier - sadly missed...
Whenever someone passes away, everyone always says things like "He was such a nice guy." In this case it's 100% true. I don't claim to have known him or that I was his friend or anything, but between living in Arlington for a while and seeing shows in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, I ran into him quite a bit. That's because Dime was never one of those rock stars with a big attitude, he was just one of the guys. Whether it was at a bowling alley or local bar, he'd always take the time to chat with fans, take a photo and even buy you a beer. At concerts, unlike most rock stars who'd watch the show from backstage as not to be bothered, you'd often see Dime watching the show in the crowd, jamming out next to you. He never forgot what it was like to be a fan, and that's how I'll always remember him.
